The Frederick Bicycle Coalition is proud to host Frederick’s Second Annual Ride with the Mayor event. Mayor McClement will join us as we ride from the gazebo behind the William Talley Recreation
This past Sunday was the Wild Goose Chase bike ride in Cambridge, MD. It is the first year I have done this ride. I went with my Single Speed Outlaw buddy, Maili and together we rode 25.2 miles. It was a beautiful and fun day. My Yipsan sunflower bike did great and attracted a lot of attention.
It was great fun to help out with the very first Tour de Frederick. We had fun meeting the many cyclists at our water stop.
This past weekend my little guy, his grandpa and I made the most of the beautiful weather. We took a spin down the C&O Canal along with several other trail users. What a fun and new (to me) way to enjoy two wheels!
We are once again ready to start the off-season fun! Our Gambrill State Park night rides commence on November 18th and continue on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month. The rides will continue through the off-season.

Originally uploaded by thebicycleescaWith rain behind us and the sun shining, I enjoyed a leisurely ride exploring country roads. Always aware that country roads sometime equal unleashed dogs, I kept my eyes open as I rode. As I approach a particular farm house I was on heightened alert.

The Bicycle Escape, in conjunction with M.O.R.E., will be hosting bi-weekly night rides at Gambrill State Park on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month. These rides will begin on November 5th and run through the March 18th.
The 2008 Photo ride was met with record numbers and perfect weather. 21 cyclists congregated at The Bicycle Escape for a casual ride with plenty of stops to shoot some photos.
