The 2011 North American Handmade Bicycle Show (NAHBS) has arrived. I would like to start The Bicycle Escape’s coverage of the event with my new ride, the pictured YiPsan cruiser.
We just built this Quiring Stainless Steel road bike for Jeff. The Bike is built with fat tire clearance for added versatility. Sram Rival components, a BB30 and 32mm tires round out the build. The rig tips the scale at 18.95lbs exactly as you see it picture.
I posted a few pictures on Flickr about this project but here is the full report.
I wanted a simple and attractive chain guard to go on a very special YiPsan cruiser for my lovely wife. Naturally, I could not find what I wanted so I made it.
We just finished a new stock build. It is a super rad Independent Fabrication Factory Lightweight built up with a Shimano Ultegra kit.
I have always wanted a rod-brake bicycle and last weekend I achieved that goal. I am now the proud owner of a 1976 Raleigh Tourist DL1.
The latest build here at old TBE was this Independent Fabrication Crown Jewel (of the steel persuasion) for Dennis.
This YiPsan 650b mountain bike turned quite a few heads. Tons of tire clearance and tons of style.
We just got in a very special and very custom little bike (12" seat tube) for a woman we will call Jaja (not her real name).
This weekend Danielle and I (well, Danielle) broke in one of the new TBE Demo bikes, a Specialized Women’s Safire FSR. We rode at the Frederick Water Shed and the weather was beautiful as was the ride.
