It was hot yesterday, REALLY HOT! In spite of the heat, about 800 riders signed up once again for the popular Firefighter 50 bicycle ride. This ride offers everything from a 101 mile ride to a 30 mile ride, and The Bicycle Escape has volunteered yearly since the ride’s inception 5 years ago. If you have never ridden in this ride you owe it to yourself to sign up. It is well supported, rest stops are well stocked, and the staff is friendly. This is why we have committed to supporting this event.
This year we had a special and unexpected guest at the Loy Station Rest Stop: a SKUNK! Yep, the little stinker wandered through the group before returning to the tall grass across the street.
