Once again it’s time for the Annual Groundhog Day Fun Ride, sponsored by The Bicycle Escape. It’s cold. It’s crazy. It’s absolutely pointless. And yet, everyone enjoys the ride.
So grab a Hawaiian shirt, put on your favorite sunglasses, decorate your bike for summer, and get ready to scream “WAKE UP PHIL!”
Meet at the East of Market Apartments Clubhouse before 9am. We’ll ride 3-5 miles around town toward City Hall where we’ll join Mayor McClement and our friendly groundhog, Frederick Town Phil who predicts the onset of springtime and the beginning of a new bicycling season with amazing accuracy.
