The City of Frederick Sustainability Committee and The Bicycle Escape invite you to the Tour de Trees, in honor of Earth Day 2017!

This leisure 6-mile nature bike ride is presented by the Green Initiatives Team and The Bicycle Escape. Join us as we ride with Jenny Willoughby (a master arborist, aka super smart tree person) who LOVES to share interesting facts and anecdotes about…you guessed it, TREES! The ride will meander through Baker Park, along the bicycle pedestrian path in Waterford Park and even parts of downtown as we seek out and find some of Frederick’s most unique trees. We’ll hear about Ash, Elm, Ginkgo, Beech, Magnolia, Pecan and a few others along the way.

The Tour de Trees will take place on Saturday, April 8th, starting at 9:30AM. We will meet at the Baker Park Gazebo, and the ride will go until around 11AM. Be sure to wear a helmet, and check The Bicycle Escape’s Facebook page or call the shop (301-663-0007) in case of bad weather to make sure the ride is still on. Sign up below!
