TBE is OPEN (Tuesday-Saturday 10-6) but it’s not business as usual. As you would expect, we are taking extra safety precautions and changing the way we do things. We like to call it the “Men’s Room approach” to bicycle sales and service. (It might also be called the “Women’s Room approach,” but I, Tom, have never been inside one so I don’t want to make assumptions.) The approach is this: Get in, get out and keep your hands to yourself . We welcome your business. We appreciate your support and we are glad to help, but when you visit, please be mindful of your surroundings. We use a lot of hand sanitizer here and we keep a very clean shop so help us help the community. In the meantime, we are repairing bikes, just drop them off 10 AM to 6 PM. We have great bikes to test ride. We rent. We have parts. We are even taking old bikes for Bikes for the World. All this while we are cleaning, sanitizing, washing hands, and keeping a safe distance (that’s what you do in a men’s room). Thanks for reading and stay safe!

Please keep this in mind, while this pandemic affects every aspect of our operation:

-We are receiving more repairs, phone calls and emails than every response time may be a bit slower than normal
-We are here for you and welcome / appreciate your business!
-Staff are not required to work so PLEASE help keep them comfortable
-We have “no touch” gift cards available.
-We offer curbside service, just give us a call
-We may be able to arrange home delivery
-You can pay over the phone
-We are small and scrappy which means we can adapt to best meet most needs quickly
-We are disinfecting like crazy and staff are respecting the 6′ rule from each other and others.
-Let’s have patience to avoid being patients

    Hi! You guys are awesome!
I need a few things (lights for bike, odometer fixed, tune-up). I have a gift card from December which I’m happy to save for the future if it would help you out for me to pay now and use GC in future. But when do gift cards expire?

Hello! We just started to explore biking and a few trails. My father gave us a bike that has been sitting in his shed for sometime now. Seems to need a tune up. I have sent a photo to see which service package would be best for us. We would appreciate a call, I have included our contact info in the email as well.

    Thank you,
    Hilary

I’m looking for a replacement pump for my Topeak Race Rocket which I lost. Do you have something similar in stock (or perhaps the Topeak itself)? Specifically dual valve use with a mini hose of some kind.

I’m looking to get my 12 year old son a BMX bike. He’s 5’ 3” so I’m assuming a 20.5” frame would be good. Any suggestions or recommendations?

Right now most BMX bikes are sold out at a national level. We do have a few options with a 20.25″ TT and one with a 20.5″TT. We are actively seeking out more inventory but supply chains are very much disrupted during this period of pandemic.

Yes. Please call ahead to ensure we are open. Typical hours right now are 10-6 but we may close one day this week or next to clean and catch up. Thanks!

Hey there! We are thinking of dropping off my dad’s old 1970’s Schwinn to have you guys ‘clean it up’ for my 12-year old son to use. It’s been in a shed for years, so it’s in pretty good shape. Tires probably dry-rotted. What might a service like that cost and should we make a ‘reservation’ to drop it off? Probably next weekend (May 30-31)

We would need to see the bike and evaluate it it fully. It probably needs a good bit of work given its age. Stop in sometime.
      Cheers!

I’d like to drop off my bike for service. It just needs a checkup, hasn’t been out of the garage for awhile. Can I just call and arrange to have it taken out of my vehicle at the curb

Hi Karla, The best way to get on the schedule during the COVID-Bike-Boom is to call an book a date to bring the bike in. We look forward to chatting with you. Cheers!

I bought a nice bike from you all several years ago. I have now switched to riding a mountain bike. Do you ever “buy” back bikes? It’s in pretty good shape, jut needs a little tuning up since I haven’t ridden it in quite some time.

Is there currently a waitlist for tune-ups? If so, how long? What is the typical turn-around time for regular (annual) maintenance?

Well we’d need to see the bike to give a accurate turnaround time. We are back to a more normal in-season backlog. Feel free to stop by with your bike for us to check it out work up an estimate then determine how long it will take to fix. Right now a “long time” is 2 weeks and some jobs are done same day It just depends on the scope of work.
